Installing Objectivity:
Change to the Objectivity home directory:
cd /home/object
and install Objectivity from the cdrom, which should have been mounted on the
CDROM drive of the master node:
/mnt/cdrom/install.csh
Before installation you will be asked for the components you will install
and, during installation, for the library include path, which should be the
path you configured gcc with (gxx-include-dir, see previous section).
We are licensed to the marked of the following components:

Installing the lockserver:
For the lockserver create the directory /usr/spool/objy which should be
readable, writable, and executable by everyone:
mkdir /usr/spool/objy chmod 777 /usr/spool/objy
and start the lockserver with:
su - username -c ''/home/object/linux86/bin/oolockserver''
username normally will be 'sxadmin'. sxadmin is a normal user
account with access to all nodes on the cluster and is a member of the
groups sxadmin and cvs.
You can stop the lockserver with ookillls, but see oolockmon first
for running locks.
If you want to have the lockserver automounted on reboot,
put the above line 'su -' in /etc/rc.d/rc.local .
Setting up the Objectivity graphic tools:
You have to create the directories bitmaps and app-defaults and
copy the corresponding tool managers from the Objectivity etc-directory:
mkdir /usr/lib/X11/bitmaps cd /usr/lib/X11/bitmaps ln -s /home/object/linux86/etc/bitmaps/OoToolMgr OoToolMgr mkdir /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults cd /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults ln -s /home/object/linux86/etc/app-defaults/OoToolMgr OoToolMgr
